Kaw Liga

Oh hello. I think I changed a lot since I started this bloguhh-thingy, from a personal perspective but also aesthetically, especially the last three months. Some books and films made a teenage life changing impression. Examples ? I read 'To Kill a Mockingbird' and 'Persepolis', we went twice to see Moonrise Kingdom and djee I LOVED IT ALL SO MUCH. There are no words ! I've actually been obsessed with it lately. The soundtrack on Spotify is constantly on the air in our house here (A BIG THANK YOU TO THE ANONYMOUS  PERSON WHO LOOKED UP ALL THE SONGS AND MADE THIS PUBLIC PLAYLIST. Forever truly yours). And I also got to see 'Romeo and Juliet' by  Baz Luhrmann (LEONARDO. OMG. OMGZ). And yeah I don't know. WATHEVAH. Last week my friend Perniele came and she took these pictures in my home town.

I know it's super narcissistic to post all these pictures. But this photoshoot thing was really spontaneous (A little bit too spontaneous because afterwards I regretted not having brought my record player on our little hike) and we went to all my secret favourite stakeouts (The wall with the sorrowful lover break-up apology tagged on it, the thrift store, the house with the porcelain bambi in the garden, etc.).
Blue vintage dress & glasses, both bought in Amsterdam early this summer.
White vintage belt.
White catholic schoolgirl socks are borrowed from Flo.
Platform heels are from  Zalando and are a courtesy of the brand
A little review.
Things I like: You can wear them with socks, they are high (Perfect for a munchkin like me) but very comfortable, they look (even) better in real than on the site.
Room for improvement: The leather gives off a little bit of its color.

Last two pictures:
D.I.Y fake daisy crown.
Black cat eye glasses, originally Flo's but I traded them for my old blazer
Vintage shirt with car print also bought in Amsterdam.
Red skirt is vintage.
Thrifted bag
Shoes are from Urban Outfitters.

Perniele and I also made some polaroids in a little creepy chapel with a  large shrine including virgin statues and plastic flowers (A.K.A most photogenic place in the world).
I really wanted to share this old picture of my mum's teenage bedroom because I have an obsession with teenage bedrooms (When teenagers are not at home, I appear from under their beds -I live there-and I spy  their rooms. SO TIDY UP YOUR ROOMS AND MAYBE THE PICTURE OF YOUR SPACE WILL END IN MY BIG 'TEENAGE BEDROOMS' PHOTOALBUM!)

That was it.

Cheerleading

Actually I am really carefull with posts about events and PR stuff. I think a blog is a blog and not a marketing device. I am anxious about the independence to write, do or say what I want. Because that is one of the reasons why I started this blog. That is why I am very picky about invitations for events or accepting free clothes or other things. But for The Big You 2 I really don't mind the conventional exception. The Big You is a bloggers event in Antwerp hosted by Unlimited PR. So many great people work there . Nice people like Elisabeth from a polaroid story.
The brands, the food and the people. LUF LUF LUF -to much summer heat isn't good for people's mentality-. So I went with Myrte (you also saw her here. AH THE GOOD OLD DAYS!) and we had a wonderfull day.

Swarovski. Honestly, I do not like Swarovski. I am just not that kind of girl that could spend money on stones (Ok. Glitter stones). I wear plastic vintage junk jewellery. But I think this collection absolutely has potential. EVERYBODY LIKES OLD HOLLYWOOD GLAMOUR! All the pictures  by me except the polaroids. Polaroid of Myrte and I wearing Swarovski jewels taken by the PR lady (LOOK HOW COOL WE ARE ON THE PICTURE. WITH GUNS AND STUFF.)

Camper had vintage travel decoration. And they held a contest wich I totally endorsed (you can win a night at the Camper casa in Berlin or Barcelona. BERLIN I WANT TO MEET YOU!). On a big European map you had to pin a polaroid of you and your favorite shoes on your favorite place. And that's London of course. Maybe it is cliché but I have such good memories of London (Sentimental.). My first Fashion Week was the one in London (read Veerle Windels and mine report for 'De Standaard' here -in Dutch-). IT WAS GREAT. It is really hard to explain how it feels to be a part of fashion week for the first time. Everthing is dazzling, it is just like in the movies. So for LFW I was three days in London. And you know London  alwayshas good vibes. It is weird but for me it feels like home. I bet I'll end up studying there and I am already saving the money for it too. I'd love to call it home. (LOOK ME BEING COOL ON THE PICTURE. WINKING AND STUFF.)

Then we went to the Veritas spot. Where we learned to crochet again. CROCHET FOR LIFEZZZ.
On the first picture you can see Myrte crocheting in her awesome pink 'FAR OUT' 80's top. At the Veritas stand we also got a white tote bag with the request to 'PIMP THEM UP!' I used fabric marker and made this self portrait. Every time I go out with this bag people give me the looks, especially when they see the sentence. OMYGOD I LOVE THAT!
This is what I wore. But with shoes of course. My white shortened wedding dress and girl scout patches from troopmoore on eBay.

The only thing I want to do is to walk the goats.

It is over. School is over. The past days I spent swimming in the pool of a friend (I've got cool friendz, with cool stuff. Duh), dancing on tacky 90's music (Backstreet boys. Anyone?) and drinking soy milk -I guess there must be a food porn reference in every single post. IT IS MY TRADEMARK. I am a pro at personal branding! (My god  how I hate the term 'personal branding')-. In below, behold the outfit that I wear when I walk my friend's Silke's goats (Friends with cool stuff. I already said it).
Transparant flower hair clip and bracelets from when I was little. Topshop blouse. Vintage plastic fake watch necklace. Thrifted shoes and skirt. This skirt gives me so much 70's summer pyschedelic vibes.

Ibe.
PS: Coming up soon:  a big post  on The Big You.
